Galactic Nova (Kirby) - Fanart Model

OK. -> 3... 2... 1... GO! ->
My Galactic Nova model is complete! This was my first big leap into highpoly modeling and texture baking. Modeled primarily in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered with Blender Cycles. The design is mainly based off of the prerendered cutscenes in Kirby Super Star Ultra, though it was fun to include details from later appearances as well. I enjoyed trying to be as faithful to the original as possible while trying to update it with modern techniques and details.
Midterm created for SAGS375 Studio II at Eastern Michigan University. Original design credits go to HAL Laboratory.
